Video Stats

This is the viewing statistics of SDC.

The chart shows that sins the video has been online its had 52 plays so far, only 16 of those plays have been watched all the way though, wether this means people are stopping the video before the credits finnish, or people don't like it and give up half way is unknown.

The comments posted generally leads me to believe people like the show, people saying things like,

"I really enjoyed watching this webisode because I find it very funny to watch. I like all of the special effects which have been used and I would definitely watch the next episode if there was to be one."

And

"I like the use of different shots, especially when one of dancer's falls backwards into the other dancer's arms, and you see it from their point of view. Also, quite funny in places. Good use of special effects for the superpowers."

Rough Cut

Rough cut SDC LIAM ROB SVEN from cmdiploma on Vimeo.

This is the Rough Cut for S.D.C. The class Feed back was:

+Good use of dance
+Funny
+Montage looks good
+good use of casting
+reverse shot
+music

-dose not make sense
-Sound/dubbing

Teacher (Steve) feedback:

I have to say I know it’s a roughcut but I found myself following quite intently right to the end. Probably maybe because I was in it! There is a good flow with the action, classroom setups at the beginning, dance routines being practiced and then the corridor scene all build up the characters and general story. I’m looking forward to seeing how the special effects add to it all. This will obviously tighten up the editing of the parts that have the added effects.

Market Research

Today we made a poll, Asking which webisode to produce... Sci-fi Dance comedy, Horror/Thriller, Modern day cowboys
here is an image of the results:

This table shows that people we asked in the age group 16-19 are not as interested in cowboys films as horror or Sci-fi-hybrids.

Genre Ingredience

1. Narrative ----> Exposition, Development, Complication, Climax, Resolution
2.Themes ----> Comen theme presented in new ways, audiences are not keen on change!
3.Settings ----> Verisimilitude creating a believable word but knowing it still not real
4.Characters ----> Character types - range/target audiences
5.Iconography ----> Props - mise en scene that we expect to see may also include action

Film remake assessment

What people in my group did!

Emma: Worked hard making play doe plus delivering a killer line!
"where's your locker?"

Tina: Also made all the play doe food with emma and gave most of the direction for the camera during the shoot.

Alex: was the camera man for the shoot, and edited half the video.

Charna: played pedro in the video and also secured a locker for us to use. i don't think she wanted to be in the video, but stepped up when Alex wouldn't. Plus edited the second half of the video.

Constructive feed back!

Emma: Nick said emma was in the background laughing. but delivered her line well.

Tina: i find Tina could of been more open about participating in the video, but gave good direction on angles for Alex

Alex: I found Alex not willing to participate in the Video and gave no reason why, but his camera work came out well.
